Sonic Youth have confirmed details of a new live album, Battery Park, NYC: July 4, 2008.
The show was recorded one year before the release of the band’s last studio album, The Eternal, with that New York show recording having been included in fan pre-orders of the album as a limited bonus LP.
The release of Battery Park, NYC: July 4, 2008 marks the first time it’s been issued as a standalone album, and it will be released via Matador on June 7. You can hear ‘Bull in the Heather’ from the album above.
