Berlin Atonal has confirmed its first set of acts for this year’s festival, including a number of world premiere live performances.
Amongst them is a new audiovisual show from Nkisi called ‘Initiation’, a live set from Shackleton billed as ‘Tunes of Negation’, an AV show from Function titled ‘Existenz’ and Félicia Atkinson presenting ‘Music for Helen Frankenthaler’, which is described as a response to the late American abstract expressionist painter’s work.
Elsewhere on the line-up, there are confirmed live appearances from Objekt with visual artist Ezra Miller, Liz Harris as Nivhek, Lee Gamble, HTRK and more.
The second set of acts playing this year’s Berlin Atonal will be revealed late next month. This year’s festival will run from August 28 – September 1. For more information, and the full initial line-up announcement, head here.
