Cosey Fanni Tutti delivers a reworking of Penelope Trappes' recent album track 'Carry Me'

Last year saw the release of the second solo album from The Golden Filter's Penelope Trappes via fabric's in-house label Houndstooth.

Titled Penelope Two, it followed on from her Optimo Music-released debut and saw her continue to swap the more dancefloor-focused output of The Golden Filter for a more considered and ruminative sound.

Now, Houndstooth is set to follow its release with a remix album featuring reworks of the tracks on Penelope Two done by Mogwai, Nik Colk Void, Félicia Atkinson, Aasthma (Peder Mannerfelt / Par Grindvik), Throwing Snow and more. Another of those who has reworked a track is Cosey Fanni Tutti who puts her own spin on 'Carry Me'. It can be heard exclusively above.

"There were no preconceived notions of how the reworks would work together, just total freedom," Penelope explains of the album. "I'm absolutely in love with all of these! I never really thought I'd get the chance to collaborate with such an array of creative artists who have inspired me, but at this point, I've learned to never say never."

Houndstooth will release Redeux on June 7 and it can be pre-order directly from the label here.
