A number of Jóhann Jóhannsson’s early works are to be reissued in the first volume of a new series of career retrospective releases.
The Deutsche Grammophon label will oversee the releases with Retrospective I set to feature seven early compositions by the late musician. Amongst the works featured is a previously unreleased score, White Black Boy.
Retrospective I will be available digitally and in a deluxe seven-CD hardcover book edition. A second volume covering more recent works is due next year. You can pre-order the first compilation here ahead of its European release this Friday (April 26).
