Simon Bonney has shared a previously unreleased track titled 'A Sweeter Kind Of Pain', ahead of the release of retrospective compilation Past, Present, Future.

'A Sweeter Kind of Pain', Bonney explains, "is about the loved one you will always be with, even if you are not together - joined by shared experience and connection, a tether that cannot be broken - it's better to accept it, than to fight it, or it will consume you."

It's one of six previously unreleased tracks to feature on Past, Present, Future. All of those tracks were originally due to feature on the album Eyes of Blue, which never saw release. They will feature on the compilation alongside Bonney's last two albums: Forever from 1992 and 1994's Everyman.

Mute will release the compilation on May 3. You can pre-order it here. Bonney will be on tour with Mark Lanegan around the US next month.
