Percussion-focused duo Rattle share a new video for their track 'DJ'

Rattle, the percussion and vocals-focused duo of Katharine Eira Brown and Theresa Wrigley, have shared a new video for their track 'DJ'. You can watch it above.

"'DJ' is the first song we wrote for the new album and is the first song on Sequence, explains Katharine Eira Brown. "It became our first 'long' song and set the tone for the album. It had the uncanny magic of being perceived as being 'the new one' for a very long time, probably because it took a very long time to 'pin down' and took a lot of different forms before it settled into place, and would sound radically different depending on tuning of my snare, the sound of the room, and the amount of delay."

The video, Brown adds, is made by Simon Parfrement, who has behind all of the duo's music videos to date. "We knew that we wanted something quite abstract, but we were also keen to show people who might not have seen us play before a little of how this song unfolds and is experienced live," she says. "It's filmed in our practice space, a room that was last seen on film in Christine Franz's brilliant Sleaford Mods documentary, Bunch of Kunst."

Rattle's latest record, Sequence, is out now and can be purchased here. Upset The Rhythm, who released the record and Rattle's previous album, is celebrating 15 years in 2019.
