Listen to a previously unheard demo cover of Talking Heads track by A Certain Ratio, originally intended for Grace Jones

A Certain Radio have shared a previously unreleased cover version of Talking Heads' 'Houses In Motion'. You can hear it above

The track, recorded in 1980 with Martin Hannett, was intended as a collaboration with Grace Jones. Even though the Jamaican singer attended a session with the band at Strawberry Studios in Stockport, her vocal take wasn't finished. This version features Jez Kerr, singing guide vocals.

Speaking today he says: "It was great to find this lost track and, even though the original idea was for Grace Jones to sing on it, I think this version captures the essence of ACR at their best – when we are being ACR and sounding like no one else."

This unearthed gem comes ahead of the group's seven-disc box set and book ACR: BOX which is set for release on May 3, as well as an extensive British and European 40th anniversary tour which starts at the end of this month and continues until the end of the year.
