LISTEN: New Mark On Unterton

Ostgut Ton's experimental offshoot Unterton unveils a new record from Berlin-based producer Mark

Berlin-based producer Mark first broke out in 2017 with a pair of industrial-edged D&B tracks for Australian label A Colourful Storm, and last year followed that release with a record on the Ostgut Ton experimental sub-label Unterton.

Now he's back on Unterton with another three-tracker called Integriert Euch Nicht, which is set for release next month. Above, you can stream that record's lead track, 'Fucking Sick Of Myself Since Day One (Hot Desk Mix)'. Centred around a submerged, screwface-inducing bassline and the kind of razor-sharp breaks that have filled much of Mark's work to date, it's one of his most dance floor-focused offerings yet.

'Fucking Sick Of Myself Since Day One (Hot Desk Mix)' is one of two tracks on the record to be culled from a live set Mark played at Berghain last year. The 12" sees him folding in the D&B, breakcore and IDM influences he's explored on past releases with A Colourful Storm, Unterton and Bristol's No Corner under the Mark and Klon Dump aliases. He also teams up with fellow Berlin-based producers Silvia Kastel and Wilted Woman on one track on the record.

Unterton will release Integriert Euch Nicht on April 12. You can pre-order it here.
