Earth have announced details of a new album, titled Full Upon Her Burning Lips. Above, you can hear lead track ‘Cats on the Briar’.
"I wanted this to be a ‘sexy’ record, a record acknowledging the ‘witchy’ and ‘sensual’ aspects in the music," says the band’s Dylan Carlson of the new album. "Sort of a ‘witch’s garden’ kind of theme, with references to mind altering plants and animals that people have always held superstitious beliefs towards. A conjuror or root doctor’s herbarium of songs, as it were."
The album is Earth’s first since their 2017 collaborative LP with The Bug. It also follows on from a solo album by Dylan Carlson, Conquistador, which was released last year. Full Upon Her Burning Lips is set for release via Sargent House on May 24.
