The latest version of Ableton Live adds custom wavetables and more

Ableton has released Live 10.1.

The update, which is currently being beta tested, is available for free to Ableton Live 10 users and will be given a wider release soon. Amongst the new features added to the update are improvements to Wavetable, the Ableton synth which was introduced at Live 10. Users can now customise their use of it, allowing them to load their own samples or sounds into the function.

There are also added EQ and delay functions. Channel EQ is a new three-band equaliser which Ableton says is "focused on immediacy. It comes with a highpass filter toggle, a low shelf filter, a semi-parametric mid band and a hybrid high shelf/lowpass filter."

Delay is a new effect device which combines the tools of Simple Delay and Ping Pong Delay into one overall tool. Ableton has also made improvements to the programme's interface including the ability to zoom on Arrangement View using a simple pinch movement on your trackpad or touchscreen, while users can also freeze tracks that have a sidechain routing.
