LISTEN: Miss Red Dubplate Freebies

Miss Red and Kevin Martin share a collection of previously unreleased dubs produced especially for a mix made by the latter

Amongst the albums featured in our list of the year's best earlier this month was Miss Red's K.O., which featured the unmistakeable production chops of Kevin Martin.

Now the pair have shared a trio of previously unreleased dubs which were made especially for a mix by Martin, and you can get your hands on them for free here, and listen to them just above. Featured on them are guests Jamakabi (with his blend of grime and dancehall) and Manchester-based MC Trigga.

"It's been a thrill to start up the PRESSURE label in 2018," says Kevin Martin of the imprint he launched earlier this year which went on to release Miss Red's album. "Beginning with my FLAME 1 collab with the incredible craftsman Burial, via Miss Red's reign of fire, and ending with Jamaica's dread poet Nazamba, and Japan's underground militants G36, it was truly a pleasure to globally spread the dub, dancehall, bass and dirt.

"I decided to pass these dubplates (which had previously only exclusively featured fleetingly on my FACT Mag 'PRESSURE' mix), as my way of saying thx to all those that have supported my label throughout the year, and my club nights that inspired me to set up the label. Right now, with so much dull club music clogging up eardrums and charts, it's a joy to spread these fierce, feral dubplates."
