The Prince Estate has today revealed plans to make widely available a number of rare and unseen music videos from the late musician.
Focusing on a latter part of his career, the videos were all recorded between 1995 and 2010, and the first three are now available, for the tracks ‘Endorphinmachine’, ‘Dolphin’ and ‘Rock And Roll Is Alive! (And It Lives In Minneapolis)’. You can watch them all here.
The video for ‘Endorphinmachine’ was only previously made available on CDR, and was hidden in the video game Interactive, while the clip for ‘Rock And Roll Is Alive! (And It Lives In Minneapolis)’ was originally aired only once on VH1 in 1997.
This campaign marks the first time many of Prince’s videos will be available on YouTube with the late star having frequently issued takedown notices for his music and accompanying visuals when he was alive. The videos will be rolled out in weekly batches from this week until December 14.
