Sonic Youth team up with music equipment marketplace Reverb to sell old guitars, pedals and test pressings

Sonic Youth are selling some of their gear and memorabilia via online music equipment marketplace Reverb.

Amongst the items on sale are guitars such as a Japanese-made Fender Jazzmaster that Thurston Moore apparently used for over a decade as well as a Fender Precision bass used by Kim Gordon during her time in Sonic Youth as well for part of her solo career. There are also numerous effects pedals and test pressings owned by the band up for sale.

The sale begins on Tuesday (October 30) and you can preview some of the items on offer here.

The sale makes Sonic Youth the latest act to link up with Reverb after Moby sold almost 200 drum machines from his personal collection via the website earlier this month.
