WATCH: New TSVI Video

TSVI channels Sufism and dancehall on new track 'Whirl'

Next month sees the release of Inner Worlds, the debut LP from Italian native and London-based producer TSVI.

Premiering above is the video for lead track ‘Whirl’. Having started to engage with and gain a greater understanding of his partner’s religious and musical background after she exposed him to music originating from the Middle East and to concepts around Sufism, some of those influences have found their way into this track and album, as well as the video for ‘Whirl’.

‘Whirl’ sees the producer combining those reference points with 100 BPM hard drums and dancehall rhythms resulting in a lean dancefloor hit.

The album was influenced by all the above factors as well as TSVI’s upbringing in Italy amongst a practicing Hindu family, something which he notes as unusual in the country. The rhythms explored across the tracks were also put together with belly-dance percussionists in mind.

The album is due out via Nervous Horizon on November 9 and can be pre-ordered here.
