Sleaford Mods return with new EP

Sleaford Mods have announced a self-titled new EP, and above you can hear lead track ‘Stick In A Five And Go’.

The five-track EP marks the duo’s first release since last year’s English Tapas album, and was recorded in Nottingham over the course of spring this year.

"The lead tracks are mostly full of violent tendencies that only transpire through imagination," says Jason Williamson. "People are powerless under the political monster and the intense anger and frustration morphs into illusions of attacking each other through the bravado of social media, depression and paranoia."

The EP will be released on 12" vinyl, CD and digitally via Rough Trade on September 14 and comes ahead of a pair of live shows at London’s Roundhouse on September 21 and 22. Those shows will be followed by a homecoming gig at Nottingham’s Concert Hall on September 30.
