Nigerian-British Afrobeat-inspired artist releases house-influenced new single

Peckham’s Aadae has released a violin-flecked new track titled ‘Just Found Out’ which you can hear above. She describes the track as created with catharsis in mind, designed to “help me dance away my pain.”

The song is Aadae’s first following the release of her 2017 debut EP Agape. The EP’s sound— an inviting fusion of traditional pop and polyrhythmic West African music— is characterised by the artist as “melancholic afrobeat that you can sing along to, that makes you feel like dancing.”

Aadae plays Archspace in London in October.
