Lemmy is the subject of a new podcast series taking a look at the lives of various rock stars who've shuffled off this mortal coil

Dead Rock Stars is a new, sweary and irreverent podcast presented by former Classic Rock editor and Kerrang! writer Mick Wall and regular tQ contributor Joel McIver.

Between them, the two writers have penned over 50 books on music and contributed to dozens of publications. The new podcast celebrates Wall and McIver's combined decades of meeting now-deceased rockers and doing immoral things with them.

Episode one of the podcast is devoted to everyone’s favourite departed headbanger and philosopher, Lemmy. The Motörhead founder, lifelong bon vivant and lover of PG Wodehouse left this mortal plane in 2015. McIver spent much quality time with the great man in the 1990s and 2000s, locked in debate about the political and cultural issues of the day; Wall worked with Lemmy for many years and knew him as well as anyone possibly could.

Dead Rock Stars: Lemmy follows McIver and Wall down the rabbit hole of Hawkwind, Motörhead, acid and speed marathons and more. This podcast is NSFW, in case that wasn't obvious. The episode is now live and can be checked out here and here.
