Gnod And More For Supersonic

Gnod, Nik Void and Tomaga are amongst the latest additions to the bill for this year's Supersonic in Birmingham

Supersonic has confirmed a further set of names for next month’s festival with the likes of Gnod and Nik Void both joining the line-up.

Tomaga have also been confirmed to play with their set taking in a live soundtrack for Kenneth Anger’s short film Lucifer Rising which originally dates back to 1972. Completing the latest announcement are Angel-Ho, Cattle, Olanza, Youth Man, Jennifer Walshe, Yerba Mansa, The Dwarfs Of East Agouza and Connected Devices, the title of a modular mechanical musical instrument that Sam Underwood and Graham Dunning have designed. Shirley Collins will also be playing live.

The Quietus co-founder Luke Turner will also be appearing as part of the Modern Ritual ensemble. Currently touring the UK, this sees Turner reading about sexuality and our ideas of nature, as well as participating in a talk about memory and forests versus the sea with Quietus writer Jennifer Allan. Modern Ritual also features Andre Bosman AKA Hoofus, a euphoric 30 Minute Drum Roll by This Is Not This Heat’s Charles Hayward, and a set on fiddle and recorder by Modern Ritual curator Laura Cannell.

They join a line-up that already includes Gazelle Twin, Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, Shirley Collins, Moor Mother, The Ex and more. This year’s festival takes place in Digbeth in Birmingham from June 22-24. For more information, and to get tickets, head here.
