One of the highlights of Rocket Recordings’ 20th anniversary bash at London’s The Garage last month arrived in the form of a set from Housewives. They released their FF061116 album with the label last year following on from previous outings on labels like Blank Editions and Faux Discx.
Writing about their performance at the party for us here on tQ last month, Joseph Mumford said that the set was mostly made up of new material from the band, which he described as "outstanding". Describing their set as the triumph of the weekend, he added: "Despite making music that is wildly experimental and clearly thoughtful, there is nothing remotely haughty or cynical about Housewives’ stage presence."
Now, you can see that set for yourself in full above, clocking in at just over 30 minutes and captured by IMPATV, as we continue our series of video highlights from the weekend-long showcase of Rocket Recordings talent and friends. Check back here for more video highlights from the Rocket Recordings party next week too.
If you want to see the band live for yourself, you can at London’s Dalston Victoria on April 27 where they’ll play alongside Spectres. Find more details on that show here.
In other Housewives news, the band’s Ben Vince will soon release a collaborative record with Joy O on Hessle Audio. Made up of two tracks, it’s due out on May 11 and can be previewed here.
