Suzanne Ciani – Seven Waves
I think Ciani is originally from Italy but she primarily worked across the whole of Europe, especially in the UK. Back in the early 1970s she was already doing all kinds of electro, synthesiser-driven music, maybe ambient even. She would be making these kind of [unexpected] noises. This album is interesting as it's in a special order – first wave, second wave – and it's all about waves of sound. And then she recreated what she would hear in the first wave or second wave to [build sound].  My album, Mellow Waves, definitely tried to find something in common with this album. Obviously, I'm a music nerd and [seek out] these things!
