tQ are one of many curators taking part in Liverpool Sound City's 2018 event

The first details for next year's Liverpool Sound City have been announced, with the festival focusing on a return to its roots for 2018 setting up in a city centre location.

Amongst the curators of stages and events at next May's weekender are ourselves here at tQ, Andy Votel of Finders Keepers, Domino, Heavenly Recordings, Ninja Tune, Jane Weaver and loads more.

The festival's new venue is set to be revealed in the coming weeks, but organisers promise a much more intimate experience than on previous years, as well as another line-up packed with established and new names.

Sound City 2018 takes place in Liverpool from May 5-6. Tickets go on sale on Friday (September 29). For more information on next year's event, head here.
