Following the recent announcement of a mysterious new album, Björk has announced a new single set for release later this month.

Entitled 'The Gate', the track will see a digital release on September 18 followed by a single-sided 12" vinyl release on September 22, which can be pre-ordered here.

Bjork describes the track as "a love song," adding "I say 'love' in a more transcendent way. Vulnicura was about a very personal loss, and I think this new album is about a love that's even greater. It's about rediscovering love – but in a spiritual way, for lack of a better word."

The 12" vinyl release will be available in a limited run, while the as-yet-untitled new album is coming soon.
