Patrick Cowley's Final Gay Porn Soundtrack Set For Reissue
Christian Eede , August 24th, 2017 16:22

The third and final of Patrick Cowley's gay porn soundtracks will be reissued in October by Dark Entries and Honey Soundsystem Records

Overlooked until a couple of years ago in the career of Patrick Cowley was his work soundtracking gay porn movies after being contacted by studio owner John Coletti in the 1970s to score the films.

Together, US labels Dark Entries and Honey Soundsystem Records reissued two of those soundtracks in the form of School Daze in 2013 and Muscle Up in 2015. Now, the final of the three gay porn films that Cowley scored for Fox Studio will be reissued, and you can hear a track from it, called 'Hot Beach', above.

Afternooners was recorded in May 1982, just six months before Cowley died in November of that year from AIDs. The reissue will be available from October 19 on what would have been Cowley's 67th birthday. The reissue will include bonus tracks found in the archives of Megatone Records’ Paul Parker as well as Cowley’s friend Lily Bartels, as well as photos of Cowley and stills from the film in question. You can pre-order the record here.
