The 2017 edition of Czech Republic's Lunchmeat Festival will take place in Prague this October

After 2016's edition of Lunchmeat saw the festival had to Neone, this year it will return to Prague and take over the basement of the National Gallery in the city for three nights.

Amongst those announced to play are Jlin, Ben Frost, Clark, Laurel Halo, Lucy, Lorenzo Senni and label Gqom Oh! who will present a showcase of the South African genre, gqom.

There is also a focus on visual arts at the festival, with a programme devoted to video artist and specially commissioned works in this vein yet to be announced.

"When we started our original aim was to present current music and world class audiovisual performances to Czech audiences," says festival director Jakub Pešek. "Last year's edition marked an important turning point. We were happy to realise that the festival was becoming more international, as the ambitious 2016 line-up attracted a lot of attention from abroad. To support that tendency, we are spreading the programme over three nights this year.

"This year's line-up is very varied," Pešek continues. "We have artists from five different continents in a balanced mix: there is a lot to dance to, but also many thought-provoking artistic AV projects."

This year's Lunchmeat theme will revolve around the concept of idols. You can find more information and get tickets for the festival here.
