Another Rare Midori Takada Album To Be Reissued

We Release Whatever The Fuck We Want, the label responsible for a previous Midori Takada reissue, will oversee a further re-release of her older material

Midori Takada and Masahiko Satoh’s much sought after 1990 album Lunar Cruise is the next record to get the reissue treatment from We Release Whatever The Fuck We Want.

The new edition of the record follows on from the label’s collaboration with Palto Flats earlier this year to reissue Midori Takada’s Through The Looking Glass, a Japanese ambient LP that had long been atop the wantlists of many record buyers.

Lunar Cruise features the first recorded collaboration between Takada and Satoh, a jazz pianist, following their 1989 tour around Africa, Europe and the Middle East. There are also contributions from Yellow Magic Orchestra’s Haruomi Hosono and Kazutoki Umezu.

The reissue has been sourced from the original masters, while the vinyl release will also contain a bonus CD featuring the full album as well as an additional track called ‘Iron Paradise’. There will also be new liner notes, featuring a recent interview with Takada and Satoh.

We Release Whatever The Fuck We Want will release Lunar Cruise on September 15, 2017.
