Gold Panda headlines a special opening party for the 1000-capacity Sea Change in Totnes AND WE HAVE A STAGE!

The Quietus is thrilled that we're finishing our summer with a trip down to Totnes for the Sea Change Festival, the final details for which have now been confirmed. Last year was an absolute hoot - you'll be muppets to miss this one.

The festival will this year feature the likes of Temples, Jane Weaver, Blanck Mass, Hey Colossus, ILL, Sex Swing, Daniel Brandt and a whole host more, and it has now been confirmed that Gold Panda will play as part of a special opening Thursday night party before the festival gets fully underway the following day.

We here at tQ will be lending a hand curating a stage at the festival that'll feature Blanck Mass Chris Forsyth and The Solar Motel Band, Grumbling Fur, Mai Mai Mai, Jane Weaver, Hey Colossus, Sex Swing, Rats on Rafts, Trembling Bells and ILL along with some dubious and deranged light night aktion. while other stage hosts include Heavenly Recordings, Earth Recordings, Erased Tapes, Basin Rock and Bella Union.

There will also be a series of film screenings at the restored Totnes Cinema with Tony Conrad: Completely in the Present (followed by a Q&A with producer Paul Williams), Stop Making Sense and Monterey Pop all forming part of that programme. Our Luke Turner will be part of the talks programme, doing a reading about forests and sex.

With a capacity of only 1000, the festival will return to the Devon town of Totnes for its second year following a successful debut last year. Venues set to be used as part of the festival include a 1960s civic Hall, two micro breweries, a 15th century church, a record shop, a ballroom, a restored Victorian cinema and more.

The festival takes place from August 24-26. For tickets and more information, head here.
