WATCH: New Alan Vega Video

The lead track from the late Suicide frontman's posthumous album collects old footage of the band

Following the recent news that a posthumous album from Alan Vega would be released this month, a video has now been shared for lead track ‘DTM’ (short for ‘Dead to Me’), which you can watch above.

The video takes in old, grainy footage of Vega and Suicide performing live decades ago, with the album arriving a year on from his death last July.

The album, entitled IT, is due out on Friday (July 14) and was recorded with Vega’s wife Liz Lamere between 2010 and 2016. Vega is said to have found inspiration for the album in "religiously consuming global news and taking frequent late-night walks alone throughout the streets of downtown New York."

His wife says: "Alan’s life force was so strong because he believed in his vision and purpose. He understood we can’t control much of what happens to us, or in our world, but we have free will and the power to go on and stand for what we believe in."
