Liam Gallagher Features In British Masters Series

The Noisey series is hosted by our very own John Doran

The latest edition of British Masters, the Noisey series hosted by our John Doran, sees Liam Gallagher on ever-entertaining form sharing a number of stories from across his career. You can watch it above.

Over the course of the interview, Gallagher discusses meeting Steve Coogan in the late ’90s when the both of them attended a wedding, meeting Maradona in Argentina and sharing a joint with John McEnroe.

The interview also sees him talk about what he did in the wake of the split of Beady Eye in 2014, using it as an opportunity to get himself more in order, and considering retiring from making more music. Eventually, he says, he began working on solo material, coming back to the stage after a number of years of drama in the wake of Beady Eye’s split. Liam also reveals that he’s not a fan of mashed potato describing it as "violence".
