Barcelona venue, record label and creative collective Màgia Roja are calling on the public to help soundproof their HQ

Barcelona's Màgia Roja, a creative project which operates as a venue and record label, is crowdfunding to soundproof their space before the end of June.

The project, which has organized more than 180 concerts in the last two and a half years, and specialises in industrial, noise, free improv, psychedelia, ambient, experimental and more, explained that: "For the respect of the neighbors we need to soundproof the space in order to give the best musical experience with the appropiate volume and at the same time not bother anyone."

On their Facebook page the group have also offered a 'competition', in which they promise "Free drinks for a whole year (or our whole discography)" for anyone who can find a venue that plays the same eclectic breadth of music. They list the likes of Swans, Gnod, Sun O))), Einsturzende Neubaten and Can as among their 'most danced to' tracks.

Gnod tweeted in support of the campaign: "Another Vital space in danger of not continuing, read and pledge" with a link to the crowdfunding page.

Màgia Roja is inspired by projects like Islington Mill, UFO Club and Factory Records. Their label includes Einsturzende Neubauten's Jochen Arbeit and Spanish acts like Huan and Akauzazte.
