Thom Yorke has spoke about the film score he is working on for the upcoming remake of horror Suspiria in an interview with BBC 6 Music.

Yorke's work on the score marks his first time writing a soundtrack for a film. He describes that experience in the interview as "absolutely terrifying," adding that the experience took him outside of his comfort zone. "I can’t read music so it’s not like I’m writing for orchestra,” he said. "I'm building it all myself. In fact, I watched Blade Runner twice at the weekend."

He says that Vangelis' score for the dystopian sci-fi classic was an encouragement while he was working on Suspiria, which was originally released in 1977 and will soon see a remake courtesy of director Luca Guadagnino.
