Patti Smith, PJ Harvey and Brian Eno are among a number of musicians and other public figures that spoke at a series of global events backing Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.

Beginning on June 19, on the fourth anniversary of Assange entering the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, and running until June 25 of last year, the events saw speeches from Jean Michel-Jarre, Laibach, Ken Loach, Vivienne Westwood, Michael Moore and many more also live streamed as part of the campaign.

Assange has resided in the Ecuadorian Embassy in Knightsbridge since June 2012 following extradition requests made by Sweden and the US. He is wanted in Sweden on allegations of rape, while the US seeks his extradition following Wikileaks' publishing of leaked diplomatic cables in 2010.

Assange denies the rape allegations but has faced continued pressure to face the charges, while it was also recently speculated that he met with former UKIP leader Nigel Farage after he was seen entering the building last month.
