Slowdive Announce New Album

The album is their first in 22 years

Slowdive have announced details of their first new album in 22 years, following on from 1995’s Pygmalion.

The eponymous album is set for release on May 5 via Dead Oceans, and above you can check out the second taste of the album with single ‘Sugar For The Pill’ following on from lead track ‘Star Roving’, unveiled earlier this year.

The band are also set to play a surprise last-minute show in London tomorrow at The Garage, which was the venue in which they played their final London show in their original incarnation in December 1993. Tickets for that show go on sale here at 1pm today. The band will live stream the full set via their Facebook page from 9.10pm for those that can’t be at the show.

The band play Liverpool’s Arts Club tonight and also have a show lined up at Bristol’s The Fleece on March 30.
