Mark Ernestus' Ndagga Rhythm Force and more will play the festival in Bucharest

A year after its successful first edition, Bucharest's Outernational Days festival is returning this July with another excellent bill including Mark Enestus' Ndagga Rhythm Force, Niger's Les Filles de Illighadad, Offen Music label head Vladimir Ivkovic and more.

Also confirmed are Germany's Toresch, Swiss punk trio Massicot and techno DJ Traxx. Festival organiser Dragoș Rusu, whose The Attic media platform is the driving force behind Outernational Days, says, "the second edition of the festival will present a series of thematic DJ sets, artist talks, panels, art installations, workshops, debates, documentary movie screenings and lectures around the Outernational concept. We will increase the number of female musicians playing on stage and develop new ensembles of local musicians specially commissioned for the festival".

Further acts are being announced all the time, including performers from Kenya, Lebanon and Turkey, as well as the breadth of Europe, including some of the biggest names in Romania's vibrant manele scene. The event will take place from July 7-9 with the assistance of Romania's National Cultural Fund and the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia. Full details can be found here.
