The Quietus writers also on the bill

This Friday, 17th March, Laura Cannell takes over Cafe Oto for an evening of music and sounds under the title Modern Ritual, described as "A night of new performances exploring ideas of ritual through music and words, evoking real and fictional landscapes". Cannell herself will play a solo set as well as a collaboration with Charles Hayward of This Heat. Hayward will also be playing solo, and we are told introducing a new vocal piece that you, the audience, can participate in. Also on the bill is Hoofus and his "rustic cadences", while tQ writer Jennifer Allan will be performing a history of the foghorn in 30 acts. Opening up the bill is The Quietus' co-founder Luke Turner, reading a new piece about why the twee idea of walking for the betterment of one's soul is impossible if you've got the horn.
