Manchester art-pop outfit share latest taste of fifth LP

Manchester band Dutch Uncles have shared new track ‘Streetlight’, taken from their forthcoming fifth record Big Balloon, released February 17 on Memphis Industries.

The album takes inspiration from the likes of David Bowie’s Low, Kate Bush’s The Red Shoes, as well as an array of Eastern European techno acquired by the band’s Robin Richards in Ukraine. You can listen to the propulsive, art-pop leaning ‘Streetlight’ above.

Speaking about the song, Dutch Uncles vocalist Duncan Wallis said: "’Streetlight’ is about becoming content with your loneliness… It’s about being skeptical, but aware and open to new chances at connecting again. It’s about realising your own needs, possibly for the first time."

Dutch Uncles are on tour over the next month across the UK, beginning and ending in Manchester from Februay 18 to March 15.
