London’s Night Tube To Launch In August

Service now set to be launched in August following delays

Having initially been set to launch last September, London’s night tube service has now been set to begin in August of this year.

There were doubts as to whether the service would ever launch but, as BBC News reports, new London mayor Sadiq Khan has now announced that a limited version of the night tube service will launch on August 19 across the Central and Victoria Lines.

The Picadilly, Northern and Jubilee lines are set to follow sometime in the Autumn with the service set to run across Friday and Saturday nights in the capital.

The launch of the night tube was initially pushed back due to ongoing disputes between the mayor’s office and the unions representing tube workers. The resolution of these disputes will likely be welcomed by clubbers across the capital.
