Tables are turned as the former KLF man interviews writer

In a turning of the tables, above you can check out an interview between Bill Drummond, formerly of The KFL, and sometime tQ writer Aug Stone, only it's Bill asking the questions here.

The pair speak at length about various respective projects with Stone speaking at one point of his recent novel Off-License To Kill which you can find information about on his website here. Stone explains how the interview came about from a chance meeting below.

"I met Bill while I was researching a piece for The Quietus on The Teardrop Explodes' band name. He had just released his 100 book and was building shelves at The Idler Academy bookshop in Westbourne Grove. I gave him a copy of my comic The Beekeeper and we've sporadically emailed since. I'm currently writing a novel about the ridiculousness of the pop music world and, as I was coming to London for my birthday, I sent Bill a message to see if I could pick his brain. We met for tea at The Haberdashery in Crouch End and filled each other in on our current projects. He asked me if I'd like to be interviewed by him. I, of course, said yes.

"In 2010, Bill declared he would only answer four questions from journalists, and that they must be four questions he's never been asked before. In line with this, when Bill himself conducts interviews, he keeps himself to only asking four questions (with further queries pointed to the subject of the main question). Our interview was the first one of these to be filmed."
