Next up on Polish label Instant Classic, a favourite here at tQ, is a second album from Lotto - a trio consisting of Łukasz Rychlicki, Paweł Szpura and Mike Majkowski. You can stream the album in full above.

Taking in just two tracks, each of which clock in at around 20 minutes, the album, entitled Elite Feline was recorded in November of last year by the trio.

“The main difference between Elite Feline and our debut album lies in the way we approached composing,” sats Lotto’s guitarist Łukasz Rychlicki. “This time we were more focused when entering the studio, having the basic structures and motifs prepared. Contrary to limited additions to our basic instruments then, this time we decided to include more subtle effects as well as post-production dub works from 1988.

“We spent a lot of time during our rehearsals just learning how to be patient in order to achieve the desired trance and what you may call a unity of sound. We slowly became one living, breathing organism built on resonance. Our instruments – straight bass, guitar and drums – took part in creating this one chord that sounds so powerful.”
