Trio announce debut album on Rocket Recordings; check out a track below

H.U.M, a three-piece group comprised of (H)eloise Zamzam, Olmo (U)iutna and (M)ark Wagner, are soon to release their eagerly-awaited debut Trinity Way on Rocket Recordings, and above you can check out the first taste of the album in the form of 'L’ame Agit', six-minutes of dread-filled, droning guitars and, as you might predict, French vocals .

The trio originally met at Woolf Festival in Wiltshire, where they agreed to form a band based on improvisation. From there, they toured Europe and the US and subsequently released a limited edition cassette entitled We Are One on the Bumtapes label these shows and a selection of tracks gathering steam on the way.

All three members have a rich pedigree in experimental music and art. Heloise and Olmo run a label called Zamzamrec, which was formerly based from Bristol but now run in France. They describe their label as "a superfuture network, a community of musicians, storytellers, scientists, writers, poets and dreamers." Wagner could recently be found touring as a member of GNOD.

Trinity Way, according to the band, contains influences from French writers Arthur Rimbaud and Antonin Artaud, the fiercely independent spirit of the Not Not Fun label and The Faust Tapes. H.U.M. play live as part of the Gnod Weekender at the Lexington this Sunday (April 10). You can get tickets for that here.
