With the last ever Bloc Festival rapidly approaching, this year’s fancy dress theme has now been announced with revellers encouraged to don their best Richie Hawtin-themed attire on the final night of the weekend.

Having asked attendees to suggest a theme via their Facebook page, the winner, with 130 likes, was Hawtin with Bloc writing: “The fancy dress competition has yielded a clear winner - we are overjoyed to be celebrating the innovative genius of Richie Hawtin. It’s difficult to express how much joy R Hawtin has provided us with through the years, but we hope that celebrating his work through the medium of interpretative dress will go some way towards it.” We imagine though that pushing speaker stacks onto fellow attendees isn’t encouraged.

Bloc 2016 takes place at Butlins Minehead from March 11-13 with Thom Yorke, Jeff Mills, Holly Herndon, Helena Hauff, Objekt, Steve Davies and many more all billed to play. You can get last minute tickets here.
