Ice Cube believes that 2016 could finally be the year that N.W.A. reunite with the former member of the group planning to get the remaining living members on stage together for his set at Coachella this April.
“I’m gonna try to bring the members of N.W.A. together,” Ice Cube told US show The Talk. Give everybody a little history lesson on Ice Cube and NWA, Westside Connection, everything I’ve been doing over the years.”
Three of the group’s members – Ice Cube, DJ Yella, MC Ren – had reunited on stage at the BET Experience in 2015 before the release of the biopic of the group, Straight Outta Compton. One key member was missing from that reunion though, Dr Dre. It’s now over 25 years since the group last performed together live. We’ll just have to wait and see now if Ice Cube can make it happen in April.
