The Quietus , November 12th, 2015 13:06

Pulp member shares tales of the band's early encounters with Suede; listen below

Russell Senior, multi-instrumentalist in Pulp, recently issued a book on his time with the band called Freak Out The Squares: Life in a Band Called Pulp. Above, you can check out Senior reading an excerpt from said book.

In the clip, he discusses Pulp’s early encounters with Suede, of course another titan of the era, including tales of battles over drum kits in Paris. Senior appears this weekend at Louder Than Words Festival which takes place at the Palace Hotel in Manchester, kicking off on tomorrow (November 13) and running through until Sunday. It promises to be a weekend of lively discussion involving debate on music history and criticism. For more information and tickets, head here.
