Duo deliver EP of punchy analogue techno cuts; listen to a remix by Factory Floor below

Continuing with an increasingly busy release schedule of late, Houndstooth are not slowing down as the next release on the label comes in the form of an EP from duo Shift Work. Above, you can check out one of the EP’s four tracks in the form of a Factory Floor remix of ‘SBFM’.

Taking in nine minutes of hypnotic analogue, techno-driven loops, the remix is one that will most certainly not disappoint fans of Factory Floor. Also featured on Document II are two original tracks from Shift Work and a remix from DVA Damas. Speaking in an interview on these pages last year, one half of the duo, Mark Harris, summed up the pair rather succinctly saying: “Johnny Rivo, myself, mid-priced synths, low-end vintage effects, endless improvising…” The result of that improvisation is two original tracks of scuzzy techno as featured on Document II, the duo’s first release since a 12” was issued by Optimo Music over a year ago. The EP is out on November 27 and you can pre-order it here. Shift Work support Tropic Of Cancer at London's Corsica Studios on November 12 while the launch night for the EP will take place at Power Lunches on December 2.
