Potential New Rolling Stones Album

Rolling Stones guitarist hints that band will record first new album in over 10 years

Keith Richard has suggested that the Rolling Stones may soon be reconvening to begin work on their first new album since 2005.

Having recently celebrated their 50th anniversary with extensive legs of touring and with a further tour of South America to begin early next year, Richards told the Sunday Times Magazine that the band had had a “little chat” about the possibility of recording new material, adding: “These guys aren’t getting any younger, but at the same time, they’re getting better. I’d love to shove them in the studio in April, hot off the road.” The band’s last album of new material came in the form of 2005’s A Bigger Bang. Richards, meanwhile, recently released his fist solo album for 23 years in the form of Crosseyed Heart and you can read our recent interview with him here.
