A Kickstarter campaign has been launched to fund a new event in Cuba next year.
MANANA, which is planned for May, will see sets from Mala, who recorded his Mala In Cuba album in the country a few years ago, Puerto Rican act Grupo ÌFÉ, Cuban drummer Galis and the Sofrito DJs. London’s The Hydra promoters are also involved in the running of the event. MANANA is pencilled in to take place from May 4-6 in Santiago de Cuba. It describes itself as “the first International Festival of its kind to take place on Cuban soil”. You can find out more information and get a ticket through Kickstarter here.
