Festival offering film, music and digital entertainment returns to Sheffield for its eighth year this weekend with Bo Ningen, Factory Floor and more

This weekend, Sensoria, the UK’s Festival of Film, Music and Digital, returns for an eighth year taking ver a number of venues across Sheffield with this year’s theme of ‘Altered States’.

The festival will offer up music from DJ Yoda on its opening night while Bo Ningen will close the festival in October. Tim Burgess will being his Tim Peaks Diner along while Paddy Considine and his band Riding The Low as well as Dave Haslam will play. Factory Floor and Lonelady will feature in one line-up too at the Abbeydale Picture House in the city. Film, meanwhile, will include music documentary B-Movie: Lust And Sound In West Berlin 1979-1989 getting its premiere including a Q&A with star Mark Reeder. Spiceworld will be screened outdoors at the Sheffield University Union Amphitheatre and Asian Dub Foundation will also perform a live score of French cult film La Haine. There will be a yoga workshop from Laraaji taking place as part of the festival and a number of guest speakers joining events too. Sensoria takes place across Sheffield from September 25 - October 3.
