Pair team up for collaborative album that has been three years in the making

Mika Vainio and Frank Vigroux are set to team up for the release of a collaborative album on Cosmo Rhythmatic, a label run by Shapednoise, Ascion and D.Carbone.

The album, entitled Peau froide, lèger soleil, is out on October 22 and has comes after the pair first played together in Paris in 2012. There are no previews available as yet, but the album promises “an exercise in sensitive intensity”, combining Vainio’s “signature brutalist electro grooves” with Vigroux’s “researches in spatial abstraction and tonal radicalism”. The album will mark Cosmo Rhythmatic’s third release since its beginnings late last year and follows the last collaborative release from Black Rain and Shapednoise which was released last week.
