The Quietus - A new rock music and pop culture website

The Quietus , August 18th, 2015 11:45

One of the traditions we've had at The Quietus over our seven years of operation is to put on gigs by MY DISCO every time they come to London from their Melbourne home. This trio are one of the most intense groups you will ever see live - imagine Shellac playing techno - and their three albums to date have been exercises in punishing yet uplifting minimalism. We're pleased to say that five years after brilliant 2010 LP Little Joy MY DISCO are back with aptly-titled new LP Severe. The album has been produced by film composer Cornel Wilczek and will be released via Temporary Residence on October 28th - the record can be pre-ordered here. Listen to the first track from Severe, the martial, prangy, 'King Sound', streaming above.
