Seminal electronic music label announces plans for extensive boxset charting label's history

Planet Mu will celebrate their 20th anniversary with a three-disc compilation and boxset comprised of past releases and unreleased material from a wide range of the label’s signees.

The label, founded by Mike Paradinas, has played a seminal role in the breaking and nurturing of various strands of electronic music, with its releases taking in music falling under the categories of IDM, dubstep, grime, footwork and many more, in its 20-year history. The boxset, entitled Planet Mu 20th Anniversary features 50 tracks in total spread across three discs and, in addition to the music, includes a 100-page book written by frequent tQ scribe Rory Gibb, charting the label’s history. There will also be a less extravagant CD edition available as well as a digital release. Music across the release takes in material from Kuedo, Mr. Mitch, RP Boo, Jlin, John Wizards and many more. It will be available to buy from September 4.
