Various artists - Doo Wop
Before all of that, I loved doo wop. But I didn't buy this record until after I bought the other ones on this list. The Spaniels, The Flamingos and The El Dorados. There's a record called Doo Wop on Vee Jay Records, and it's got The El Dorados and The Spaniels on the cover. There's three volumes of it. But the first volume was my favourite, with all the songs I grew up with on. 'Earth Angel' by The Penguins, and all of the other songs from the doo-wop days. That music was the most important to me, period: 1956, '57... that was it until we got to The Temptations.
